What's the Balance of Memory and Remembering?
i think the editors of the new york times wanted me to write the piece, is that we tend to over obsess on remembering everything. That's actually a bad thing, and it's illustrated in the pandamic because the easiest examples i gave there and most relevant, are emotional memories. None of us should or want to remember the horrors of the beginning the demic in perpetuity, in total recall. That would be a sentencing ourselves to a life of petiest.
