The History of the Hixos in Egypt

Egypt remained unchallenged and somewhat separate from the politics of the Near East. Adiatic peoples migrated into Egypt restricting them back into their African heartland. These people would come to be known as the Hixos. It would not be until the emergence of the New Kingdom that the Hixs would be expelled from Egypt. The Egyptians started producing chariots after the Hixo invasion. So chariots became a vital warfare commodity.
