The Importance of Trauma-Informed Education

Alex Chevron-Vannette: I think that we would be hard pressed to find any teacher today who doesn't feel that their core sense of the work of teaching has been disrupted pretty seriously in the past few years. She says trauma informed education is not a band aid, it's a big, messy project that will never be finished but there are so many on ramps. "It feels very hopeful when I look at the big problem and then I say, if I can come at this in this more intentional way," she says.
