What's on the Curriculum?
In the first year, in the first semester, everyone makes a five minute silent film. The next project that they do is kind of a documentary, but we refer to it as "observational character study" They just choose a subject and shoot something purely observational on a real life person. And really the idea behind that is to inform them about human behavior so that they can direct actors better.
