I've Never Worked With a Cameraman Like That
"I don't think it would be better if I worked with Roger, because his stuff is so good," he says. "You're kind of lighting a space as opposed to a scene." The director on Legends of the Fall never succeeded in telling actors what to do during rehearsals and instead just let them show him their ideas. He always had to say, okay, now you go to the window or, you know, but storyboards are planning ahead. That's not a good thing.
