I don't think that more than two percent of non academic americans i am guessing here but could name the barbery slave trade for example which enslaved two thousand primarily european individuals. The most recent textbook didn't mention human sacrifice and that probably has something to do with that sort of 90 to 10 political slant in academia, soul says. Soul: Should i feel guilt and embarrassment about my country's slave trading owning past or should i feel pride and self-respect that my country ended the international practice of slavery? I'd like to hear how each of you answers this question what i think is the fundamental question about this issue of slavery.
