How Do You Restore Sensor Information From the Hand?
The idea is exactly to restore all the sensor information related mainly to touch but also to position of the fingers. The prosthesis as sensors embedded, when a grasping object, the sensors get the information about mechanical stimuli. This is translated into electrical stimulation into electrodes, small pieces of polymers implanted into the nerve. And then this current goes through the nerve, is activate some part of the nerve which conveyed information up to the brain.
