The Importance of Practical Experience in Computer Science
Jim Cheers: I feel like over the years I've been on rants about CS programs and how they're not like professors there often don't have any real world experience. What I love about this program is yeah it's really focused on how can you learn more of computer science and how computers work but in a practical way that could make you a stronger developer. He says many developers who had a bad experience in traditional computer science schooling now go out into the real world and start building these incredible things. "I just find it fascinating that so many people are a little bit scarred in some ways from traditional education," he adds.
