Is Prejudice an Effective Response to Stereotypes?

At the core of systemic racism are cognitive and effective responses to people of color, stereotypes and prejudice. Why is it that people think of prejudice as an effective response, or how does that come into the equation? So we know in the brain that prejudice has this emotional component. Its amigular dependent, which is the seat of emotion in the brain. And if you take that tother the social bias domain, thats stereotyping prejudice and discrimination.
