The Future of the Swift Package Index
The idea for a package registry in Swift has been around for a few years now. In 5.7, the client gained full support for package registries. The concept of a registry is there's no centralized place by definition for a registry. It takes care of all the hard stuff, basically. So it takes care of delivering package data.
