Mudcrab: A Land Cruiser That Can Go Underwater
Mudcrab was recently driven across Darwin Harbour under water. The journey on land would have only taken a few minutes, but it took Mudcrab 12 whole hours to travel the 7 kilometres under water. Car experts and engineers from all over Australia spent months working on Mudcrab with a new waterproof electric engine and very heavy water filled tires. Despite the long time, the crew did set a new world record for the longest and deepest underwater drive at a depth of 30 metres.
