Thomas: We need a bigger vision of what it meant for first century Jews to re-inhabit the world of their scriptures. I don't know whether all the gospels were written as early as 45 AD was late as 95 AD, he says. Thomas: There are lots of pretty smart people out there who know their scriptures extremely well and are interpreting events of their own time in the light of those scriptures.
