Is There a Difference Between Gift With Purchase and Direct Response?

The middle ground here is this almost like soft selling, right? It's everything from educating about how to use the product. Maybe there is a universe where we do gift with purchase for somebody that's on the way to churn. I think the biggest reason not to repurchase is having a product doesn't work for you.
