Gorgias, one of the most famous Sophists, summarized his epistemology or theory of knowledge in three denials of the three fundamental meanings of Logos. The Sophist use of reason was neither inductive nor deductive, but seductive, masking fallacies," says David Frum. "They were very successful at it."
