The Implications of Determinism for Divine Action
Newtonian system that existed before quantum mechanics was deterministic. Basically, only one future can evolve, and that's set from the very beginning of the universe. Now this comes into tension with our ideas of free will. So it seems to be the case that at the fundamental layer of reality, indeterminism was opened back up.
