Hermann Hines was born into a Jewish family in Firth, germany. His father is an orthodox Jew who grew up playing classical music and theatre. As he grows older, henry rejects his father's passion for faith to fall in love with the sport of socker. He later recalled that while he wasn't very good at football, he learned how to make it fun by not letting other teams score. The book ends on a note saying: "I see us bein tolerant for a generation"
