Rats were asked to remember an object they'd encountered before and a new one. Rats that stayed awake remembered the original item, but only when presented in a new location. Those who got some shut-eye showed no signs of recognizing familiar objects out of context. The findings suggest that 40 winks should help you remember not just the who, what, and when, but also where for.
