China Is a Hugely Nationalist State
China now is a a hugely nationalist um it's a state that uh that that promotes an a exclusionary ethno nationalism. It couldn't be more different than the socialist internationalism of the Mao era under socialist internationalism you have to be a Marxist but then you're in, says David Frum. China re-narrates chineseness as a fusion of and as a as a wish for fusion of ethnicities rather than as a coalition of different ethnicities.
