What Is Japan's Plan?
The aim of the japanese in the 19 thirties, as they expanded both their formal and formal empire in asia, was to create a sort of big aversion of mancuko. So essentially what they were looking to do was to create an entity that would be run with compliant chinese but very much under japanese control. The north part is essentially a full occupation; the southern part is technically neutral, but really actually pro german. Much closer to that visi sort of model than if you think of occupied france and the forties.
