The Politics of Corruption in the Slums
In the first chapter and slums you show how corruption is implotted through spectral and spectacular ways. I found really interesting was how creating a spectacle out of allegations of corruption became an important political strategy for anti corruption. The space of the slum is really key because here we found that more kind of structural and larger critiques of corruption not simply as kind of anomalous or happening once in a while but very much embedded in the whole social and economic hierarchy it's here in the slums where that kind of analysis of corruption comes out.
