You take things that we understand, or think we understand, and you make them strange enough so that you can look at them in a different light. pantasy is also, as opposed to science ficti ond fantasy is particularly, as tolkin said, the it's the realm of enchantment. And i wanted to make how terran lived, but learned how to live with them because they liked those too.
