Is There a Homogeneous Figure of French Intellectualism?

There is quite a bit in line between these thinkers and chomsky himself and americans themselves. It's strange to me that there is this idea that the french, more so than any other, for some reason, were not interested in looking anywhere else other than their own culture. Between bodria and foucot,. Are valleys of differences between deles and baudrial. They can't just be homogenized under the umbrella of french intellectualism.
