The Importance of Carbohydrate Timing in Muscle Hypertrophy

If the goal is muscle, you know, putting on as much lean muscle mass as possible. Lifting capacity is greater in that case. There's some literature showing that lifting capacity is compromised when, let's say, you skip breakfast versus having some sort of mixed macronutrient meal that happens to be high in carbohydrate. But at the same time, you don't need to just slam 100 grams of carbs immediately post workout. And we may have talked about this during the whole anabolic window thing where the paradigm is to slam quickly absorbed protein and carbohydrates as soon as possible after training.
