Marduk's Destiny and the Council of Gods

In this chapter, the council of the gods convene to discuss Marduk's role as the champion against the sea serpent, Tiamont. They acknowledge Marduk's power, honor him, and decree his destiny as the one chosen for the battle. Marduk is then established as ruler before his fathers.
