The Unsolvable Puzzle of Language and Its Relationship to the World
I don't think it's possible to provide a map of how language relates to the world. Wittgenstein concluded we just can't say anything about that relationship. The best answer is there isn't a relationship rather than to try and provide one, which is exceptionally tricky because there isn't one in the first place. And so think of language as a metaphor by which we can achieve all sorts of extraordinary things but not as describing how things are in some ultimate sense.
