The Importance of Recognizing the Original Sin of America
I don't think that America could possibly get to a place of truly moving beyond this unless we have some kind of formal truth and reconciliation. I'd love to see choke holds be illegalized or removed from, you know, the menu of options that law enforcement has when it comes to dealing with people. As long as we have incompetent and quite frankly, mentally ill leadership, we're not going to see any acknowledgement of that original sin. It didn't even happen under Obama.
