Is There a Free Market in the Abolitionist Movement?

A huge proportion of the abolitionist movement was free market. William Lloyd Garrison was an intense free marketer. Frederick Douglass too learned from Richard Cobden and used some of the anti corn law league strategies in order to come back and argue against slavery. And it angers us just as much as it angers people who focus a lot on oppression when these things occur. It also angers us specifically because we know that human dignity and creativity are being crushed, right? That this person, the Amago Dei, is having the veil of oppression thrown over our heads.
