boundaries are basically your own personal rules of engagement. It's letting other people know what's ok with you and what's not oke with you. What is comprised in knowing your boundaries is having the ability to communicate them when you so choose. We also are instinctivly protective of our physical like, if you're talking to someone, like a close talker, you'll naturally just be like, beck up bub you'll move it back yourself.
