David Perry: My parents and their families during World War II were imprisoned by the United States government. He says his father was told by one of his white teachers in the camps that he should try to be not 100% American, but 200% American. "If you shoplift and you get out of prison to show you reform, you don't shoplift anymore," Perry writes.
