Paul is the first person to really, I guess, intellectually begin the intellectual tradition of Christianity. He's willing to use patristics, medievals, and God's labor at all, to utilize concepts, theories, dispositions, values that are available in order to better articulate the vision. And that vision, you could say, is never fully, completely articulated until all of that's incorporated as this sort of expansive feature of Catholicism.
