This week we compare ultra accurate clocks and the life of a trail blazing astronomer. How how long is a second? You probably have some intuitive idea, maybe you count using mississippis. But for scientists, that usually isn't accurate enough. And that's where atomic clocks come in,. atoms tick too, albeit much faster than a regular clock. I'm charmony bundel, and i'm nick petridge.

A web of three optical atomic clocks show incredibly accurate measurements of time, and the trailblazing astronomer who found hints of dark matter.
