What Happened in the Seventies?
Inflation is a fascinating element economy now, because for so long we never talked about it. In the seventies inflation came out and really played havoc with the world. The reserve bank targeted inflation through raising or lowering interest rates to try and keep it within what they call their target band of two to three %. And if basically has worked as been a little bit of feti where it's going a bit higher and a bit lower, and certainly a bit lower in the last six years. We didn't have to worry about it. No one cared about it. But you're right, it's back now, massively. So around the world, less so here in australia.
