The author's husband is from the north of england. He voted no in the last scottish independence referendan because he didn't want to abandon his family and friends to the mercies of the tories forever. But when you describe the discourse at westminster, people shouting at each other, that's sometimes the way. I would see lots of pragmatic people in westminster, who do work across party lines in all parties. Just wonder how the scottish referendum, when jim murphy was assaulted in the street and had to stop campaigning, has had to stand ton in court where nicholas sturgeon now says she was inured to some of his behaviour
