Red: I thought that they using neo and trinity as batteries, essentially. They're using his brain and squeezing all the creative juice out like a sponge. So he was actually programming the matrix by himself. This is such a great allegory for capitalist organizations just taking your work and passing it off as their own 100 thousand per centsa so they're using his ativity to generate the next version of the matrix. And i guess they kicked out the old architect, the white guy in the chair because, and i'm pretty sharm quoting the movie here, nobody liked that guy,. He replaced him with kneelpatrick harris, who, albeit, very much more carismatic.
