Titus the Great
When he succeeded his father in 79, Titus quickly proved all worries about his character totally baseless. He was every bit of self-confident his father had been leading to the same sort of rational, not insane policies that were fast becoming the hallmark of the Flavian dynasty. Rather than hedonistic cruelty, Titus displayed the exact opposite at every turn and was lauded for his generous spirit.
