Hun Menet is a charismatic graduate of America's West Point Military Academy. He also has a doctorate in economics from the University of Bristol. There's been some speculation that because of Hun Menet's Western education, he might be a more liberalizing force for Cambodia. But I think we need to be skeptical about this, given how close he is to his father andgiven how much he has sort of benefited from his father's policies.
