The Language of Precarity and the Politics of the Census

I argue that precarity is a condition of life and gendered by global capitalism. I bring the work of Judith Butler, Henry LeFeb and Jacques Israncière to demonstrate how such theoretical experimentations articulate questions of politics, resistance and livability in materially grounded and politically charged ways. So people subjected to precarity have simultaneously experienced struggle and hope, dreaming and suffering because of and for better life promised by capital.
