In 1992, Sean Combs founded the record label Bad Boy Records. He got sacked from his job at Uptown Records for pushing one particular artist a bit too hard. That artist was none other than Christopher Wallace, Biggie Smalls. Tupac Shakur lived in New York City and Baltimore as a child.
