The Dilemma of the Socialist Movement in the United States
The socialist movement in the US is incredibly divided, and I really don't think anyone can argue with that. Within those disagreements, we see diverging class interests playing out. Mao reveals to us this contradiction does not have to be an antagonistic contradiction, in all instances. If opportunists and chauvinists who call themselves socialists are actually willing to investigate, to self criticize, and to correct their class collaboration as positions, then the contradiction can be worked out in a non-antagivistic manner.
