Women's Pay Gap - I'm Going to Pay Her 20% Less for the Exact Same Job
I think we're all participating in these kind of very subtle beliefs about women and we don't even realize that we're doing it because they're so ingrained in us. Even me I can remember instances of going into a meeting during my corporate career and if there was a young beautiful woman with an older gentleman that was her boss right I was assumed she got that job because she was attractive. This is all related to kind of social norms about what we believe gender roles are and it's so again subtle and unconscious that I don't think anyone is saying well she's a woman so I'm going to pay her 20% less for the exact same job.
