How to Make a Functional Brain Tissue From Brain Precursors

The difficulty comes from the fact that there are many brain cell types that we need to generate to form a functional tissue. There are broad classes of excitatory neurons and inhibitory neurons. And then there are multiple support cell types, different types of glia,. Although my friends who work with glia don't like to think of them as support cell types because they do more than that. They actually participate in circuit function, neurotransmitian of electrical processes. So it's sort of wrong to just refer to them as support cells, but for simplicity, I'm going to refer tothem as support cells.
