The magazine had put low on its cover for masquerade a year earlier, and they were clearly hedging their bets in case he bounced back bigger than ever. An anonymous top screen writer was quoted throughout the lengthy story musing on the ways in which this whole thing might actually help low. What was repugnant to hollywood was the fact that low's last two films, masquerade and peter bagdonovitchs illegaly yours, hadn't made money. As producer steve tish told us, if it works, rob will remain employable in this town for a long time.
