The Importance of Hygiene
Antibiotic-type molecules that might not be drugs are used in toothpaste and shampoos. Melvin: We have lost sight of the value of this crucial set of medicines. The AMR review has made a series of recommendations about use to increasing hygiene. Many countries have a real problem with infections by resistant bacteria as well, because they don't have access to clean water or sewers. But why am I optimistic? Because we now know what the problems are, and there are lots of ways in tackling them.
