The recession itself fuels more inflationry monetary and fiscal policy. Government is not talking about cutting spending in other areas so that it can afford to do without that revenue. No, the government is just going to run bigger deficits. So this policy is, let's run larger deficits. Let's have a stimulative economic stimulus when we're already overheated. They should be increasing the federal gas tax, right? To cool the economy,. according to them they want to heat up when it's already overheated - which is where we're headed.
