The History of the Scipione's in Spain

In 211 BC, the Scipione's made an ill-advised strategic decision that would bring them both to ruin. Bolstered by 20,000 Keltabarian mercenaries, the Romans found themselves in a position where they outnumbered two nearby Carthaginian armies. They split their own army, with Nius leading about a third of the Roman and all the Keltabarians against Hasdrubel. But unbeknownst to the Roman generals, the army Publius was attacking, was in the process of being reinforced. Left with only about 10,000 troops, Nius didn't stand a chance.
