The Myth of Indian Socialism

I call it Indian socialism, because there was an agreed set of ideas and practices. It's a very different form of socialism from Soviet socialism. But the way they pursued their programs doesn't fit our 21st century understanding of socialism. So on secularism is a myth, because it only worked in one register. The same goes with Dalits, where to to truly end untouchability would require a huge social transformation - and the elites had no answer for how to do that.
