Is There a Green Initiative in Refrigerators?
Bob Greene: Companies give us what we want. And if what we want is greenism, that's what they're gonna deliver. We have a refrigerator that's 15 years old and it starts acting up. He says the problem is with all of the green rules that exist. The refrigerators have to be energy efficient and dot-a-dah,. That requires computers to monitor them. Because of that, they simply don't last as long.
