Hadrian's Villa in Rome

roman emperors have always liked to live in luxury. Hadrian's main residence on the palatine hill in rome is also lavishly decorated. The floors are made from rare marble as well as glass and ivory tiles arranged in intricate geometric shapes. Many of the rooms are decorated with vivid mosaic art depicting birds, animals and mythological scenes. There's even a private house on an artificial island.
