Why Aren't Young People More Likely to Believe Conspiracy Theories?
In Britain, 34% of 18 to 24 year olds believe that Jewish people have an unhealthy control of the world's banking system. And this is because partly due to the proliferation of social media, conspiracy theories as a way of understanding how the world is organised and how power operates. It has a purchase amongst younger people. I think it's also because young people have perhaps more reason to distrust the kind of established ways that the world isorganised.
