Ilya Kabbakov's Shower Series
One movement that predates Peristroika is sorts art which is sort of the equivalent Soviet equivalent to pop art and again it's very humorous. Artists like Comar and Melamied made these slightly ludicrous images of that they were usually had some kind of political subtext to them so in the essence of truth or grinding Pravda you see the two artists methodically grinding up copies of the newspaper Pravda and turning them into meat patties.
